Valuable Lessons I’ve Learned About Apps

the Changing face of eLearning

Those who are in the process of developing an advanced eLearning app for use in the near future should be encouraged by the fact that more and more corporations are resorting to online learning in a part of their portfolio. Plenty of technology is undergoing development that will eventually see their application in supporting eLearning industry. There have been some new developments in the process of making them. Those trends will lead to better apps.
Virtual reality has emerged as a great option for eLearning apps. Where video used to be made for training users on the apps, VR technology has come in to make the process more enhanced. The experience shall go a long way for them.

Augmented reality is another trend that does a similar job. It enhances the learning process, instead of replacing it as virtual reality does. Developers find it cheaper for them. It needs the input of less hardware.

Microlearning is also a new trend. In it, a user gets to receive small bits of information over a period, not like where they are bombarded with too much information all at once. It needs the use of visual, video learning, simulations, and exams that give instant feedback. This is the way for users to learn more and keep most of the information.

Simulations can also be used to give users a hands-on experience, instead of relying only on factual and recall learning. Task-based simulation will help achieve this.
Social learning has emerged as a trend too. eLearning platforms shall collaborate more when it comes to this, through social networking, team building, and problem-solving skill as their mainstay. The type of social networks in use here are comment tools, chats, and leaderboards.

Webinars are another trend that is similar to microlearning. In them, a high amount of focus is captured over a short period, which is more effective than the long training session programs that tend to last for over weeks or months.

Serious games is another trend where entertainment is infused in an educative app. They cover topics such as real estate, the stock market, budgeting, and such.

The focus on upskilling is where a group that works in a company continues to receive education to sharpen their skills. Businesses use eLearning platforms to train their present staff and lead to internal promotions. HR departments are making good use of this trend, and the same shall continue for along time to come. It also benefits individuals with higher career ambitions.

Leave your app platform open source. This is how more people shall get to change and make it better. This shall lead to more useful and effective apps.
